I want to commit to doing something about the grievous problem of human trafficking. My goal is to walk for 7 minutes per day for 7 consecutive days. That may not sound like much, but as a busy mom, it's what I feel like I can do right now. Doing something instead of doing nothing! Would you support me? My fundraising goal was $100 to start, but because of such kind support, I met that goal, bumped it up to $150, met that, bumped it to $200, MET THAT, and now we're almost at $250, with another pledge in the works! You folks are awesome! 

Human trafficking can happen to anyone in any community across our country. Every day, girls, women and boys are manipulated and recruited into the sex trade and forced labour. What may start as a seemingly innocent conversation online or in real life can quickly turn into something tragic. 

Although the realities of human trafficking are horrific, there is also hope! Through, Intervention and Prevention, we can end human trafficking in Canada. Survivors can heal. Families can be reunited. Justice can be served. 

For decades, former MP Joy Smith has been a passionate advocate against human trafficking working tirelessly to raise awareness and most importantly, rescue and support survivors as they rebuild their lives. This annual fundraising event raises funds for the Joy Smith Foundation’s Prevention and Intervention programs.
